You are carrying responsibility for others while trying to stay connected to your own soul, relationships, and walk with Jesus.
You are functioning, but the pace, pressure, or weight of leadership is exposing depletion, disconnection, or patterns that need attention.
You want to understand the patterns shaping your relationship, strengthen connection, and grow in healthier ways of communicating and responding.
You want more than insight or productivity. You want space to understand what is happening beneath the surface and move toward greater freedom, wholeness, and faithfulness.
Personalized space to slow down, understand what is happening beneath the surface, and move toward greater wholeness in Jesus through self-awareness, emotional healing, and spiritual renewal.

You begin to recognize the patterns, reactions, and internal dynamics shaping how you live, relate, and lead.
You engage wounds, beliefs, and unresolved experiences that continue to influence your relationships, identity, and responses.
You grow in your capacity to be present, honest, and connected with God and the people closest to you.
You develop sustainable practices that help you remain grounded rather than constantly running on empty.
Your inner life, relationships, faith, and leadership begin to move into greater alignment.
You learn to live and lead from a more settled, anchored soul—responding with greater clarity, courage, and faithfulness.
Anchored Soul is a formation-centered approach to learning how to anchor more deeply in Jesus as the sustaining refuge through the storms of life. It creates space to slow down, understand what is happening beneath the surface, and move toward greater wholeness in Him.
The work integrates self-awareness, emotional healing, spiritual renewal, relational growth, and practical tools for living and leading from a healthier soul.
Anchored Soul is designed especially for ministry leaders, couples, and others who want deeper formation rather than simply more information or productivity.
Some people come because they are depleted or disconnected. Others are navigating transition, relational strain, leadership pressure, or a desire to grow more intentionally in their walk with Jesus.
Structure depends on the type of engagement. Some people work with JD individually through coaching or spiritual direction. Couples may engage in premarital or marriage coaching. Others participate in cohorts, groups, retreats, or focused intensives.
Some experiences are short and focused, while others unfold over several months. The right structure depends on what you are navigating and what kind of support or formation would be most helpful.
Anchored Soul is not clinical psychotherapy. JD works through coaching, spiritual direction, pastoral counseling, leadership development, and formation-based experiences.
When clinical therapy is needed, Anchored Soul can complement that work but should not replace care from a licensed mental health professional.
The first conversation is simply a chance to understand what is happening, what you are looking for, and whether Anchored Soul is a good fit.
We’ll talk through your needs and determine whether the best next step is 1:1 coaching, spiritual direction, marriage coaching, a cohort, retreat, or another form of guided formation.

"He helps me see the whole journey and the progress that’s been made"
“JD is great at seeing the common threads in what I’m processing and reflecting them back in a more cohesive way. He pushes and challenges in a way that doesn’t feel forced, and he helps me see the whole journey and the progress that’s been made.”

"Spirit-led Contemplation"
“JD creates space for spirit-led contemplation, stillness, transparent processing, and confession. His steady pace slows me down — and that is not easy to do. This work has been invaluable to me.”
- Chris McLean
Vice president of Training and Global Master Trainer

"JD is like half coach, half therapist"
“JD is like half coach, half therapist. He’s been a pastor, he knows what it’s like to shoulder the burdens of life, ministry, and work, and he gives me tools to keep leaning in, learning more about myself, and walking with Jesus.”
